A lot of anime to me seems fairly similar, does this one really set itself apart? I love big mechs/robots. I am not a fan of long plot lines that are centered around romance. Which weighs more heavily, the action or the romance? One will make me interested in this, the other… will make me avoid it.

eu tenho este blog http://indie-waves.blogspot.com/ , que me dá bastante gozo a escrever, no entanto eu queria “profissionalizar” o blog, mas não tenho aptencia nenhuma para a parte administrativa da coisa (criar dominio + manter + design, etc), como sigo com bastante regularidade alguns blogs da Bloggynetwork, (principalmente pelos designs da Elena - ela é um génio) gostava de saber se eles estavam interessados em assumir essa parte administrativa por mim e eu continuo com a escrita do blog para eles.

Ultimamente tenho baixado um bocado a “audiencia”, mas anda à volta de 400~500 visitas únicas por dia + 200/250 subscritores rss (feedburner)

ok era isso, se me puderes ajudar, fico-te agradecido.

Actually, I call it a “Soap Opera”, because that’s exactly what it is. I felt like I was watching Days of Our Lives or All My Children. The only thing missing was the cheezy music, 5 minute commercial breaks, and really bad lighting.

Hello mate. I read your rant and decided to add some food for thought, regarding your final statements.

At the very end, you wrote that “Everything else feels empty and meaningless”. I can relate to how you are feeling. Losing the most important thing in your life makes you underappreciate everything else. However, that doesn’t mean those things cease to exist. I believe the most important step in being able to overcome a broken relationship, is learning how to find happiness in those “meaningless” things, and learning how to be thankful for still having them.

If you give it some thought, I’m sure you’ll realize that you still have many things left. At the very least, you have your health, and you have people to be with, people who want to help you overcome what has happened.

The sun will surely shine again. Until then, try to make the best out of your night.

I have to agree that Naruto: Shippuuden looks like a great series and that anyone that watched the original Naruto until the fillers (Or even if you didn’t get that far) to follow it again. Shippuuden in general is a lot more mature, less comedy and much better drawn.

Speaking of graphics, I hate how they didn’t go with a 16:9 aspect ratio for the main section of the show even though the opening intro and credits were. That’s possibly the only thing I have against it.

This decline in performance was recent. There was nothing wrong with the connection itself, as long as you didn’t use any P2P programs or play online games. If you do any of those two things, Oninet is not the best ISP to have at the moment.

Since I live in Europe I’ll compare it to somewhere closer. An acquaintance of mine, from Sweden, recently changed his ISP also. It took him 5 hours to do so.

Rather unbelievable how they could mistake a 8mbit connection with a 256kbit one. I would be rather speechless if they made the same mistake with Welsper. This decline in performance from Oni is a recent deal, or has it always been like this? Very ironic how you can download better with a 256kbit connection than with your 4mbit one… The problem with my connection is its inconsistency; Mostly during the day, the speeds can become unbearable at times… but that is somewhat compensated by the times when I can actually reach my top speed (>1MByte/second).

I haven’t done that for a while but that’s because the only escalators I use are in the LRT stations here in Calgary and I am usually running to catch a C-Train at about 7:45am, along with the rest of the City of Calgary.

I’m currently in the escalator capital of the world: Hong Kong. it’s crazy. no one ever uses the stairs and I’ve seen that happen too. for some reason everyone’s always bustling around, but the only place they always stand still is on the escalator!

From time to time, they open up submissions for 24 hours. Afterwards, they evaluate the sites and choose a few of them. There is no telling when there will be a next round, but I guess that it’s safe to say that it will only happen in 2007, but don’t quote me on that!

Well, its not unusual for a blog to display more than just one theme in the content, but as long you focus on one in particular, there is no reason why you can’t occasionally incorporate another theme into your blog.

If you want to look up more info about that subject you’d be better off buying books about journalism rather than searching for the “blogging equivalent” of it.

Despite allowing user feedback, in most cases, blogging, in the case of most sites, takes the same lessons that journalism uses.

Blogging has given me a lot of things! But the most important would be the non-material ones like satisfaction, time for my family, and peace of mind.

Honey and Clover was an “Awesome!” series. I was never a fan of Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. The show was a bit too over the top for me drama wise.

Oh and good luck in submitting to 9rules. I can’t guarantee anything but I’m glad to see that some people who aren’t a part of the “usual” anime blogosphere are giving it their all.

I think FG is doing great. I find that we are not getting the quality feedback that we used to get, and comments overall seem to be down. People complain about this, that, and the next thing, but overall I think we try to hard to bring them the news we think they will find interesting, rather than talking about the news we would find interesting.

I, as one of the writers, will work harder on creating interesting content, but some days it is very hard as I can’t do something like Hackaday, I don’t have access to the latest gadgets from any country, and so most of the things I find are all second hand information.

Blogging is a cruel mistress, but we will do the best with it as we can, and build our pyramid.
